Hello, my name is Paul, and I am the voiceover for a ministry provided to you by Jim Pugue at God Is Government called Your Daily Bread, taken from Christ's teaching of the Lord's Prayer in Matthew 6, verse 11. This is a daily devotion ministry focused not only on uplifting Scripture, but Scripture that will grow your spiritual connection with Christ. We hope that you receive these devotions to uplift you, encourage you, but most importantly, advance your knowledge base of the Holy Scriptures. Today's focus discussion will be on God's creation of man. I wonder just how many times we have been read or read Genesis 1 26 KJV, and God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness, and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. If you are like me, I bet I have read this verse or have had it read to me in the pulpit over a thousand times. Each time it was read, I can now tell you that I missed its exact meaning every single time. That makes me so upset. Had I known the exact meaning, I would have a much different perspective of life and just how I am related to God Himself. I am shocked, really, I was upset, that all the pastors standing in pulpits failed to teach me, and I bet you the true meaning as well. There are two key parts of this verse that are very important to our daily lives. The first part is when God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness, and the second part is, let them have dominion over all the earth. When we break down these two phases contained within the verse, and we obtain a full understanding of their meaning, we will have the biggest light bulb go off in our minds than ever before. The meanings of these are so profound that I cannot believe that today's pastors do not teach these in their true form. It goes to prove that either our pastors today either do not know the truth or are so deceitful they don't care to teach the truth. We find how man was actually created in Genesis 2, 7 KJV. And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living soul. What we find here is that God moulded and formed man, the physical body from the dust of the ground. At the time of this creation, man was not yet animated, meaning that man had no physical movement, no life. It was not until God breathed into the nostrils the breath of life that man became a living being. So let's break this down by its elements so we can fully understand what we are actually told. When we look at the creation elements, we find the following. Man was created last in all of creation. This was on purpose. Man's creation was the crown jewel of God's total creation. We can discern this by looking at particulars contained within the scriptures. The whole account of the creation builds upon itself one step at a time, leading up to the climax at the development of man. 2. Man was created in the image of God. In fact, man was the only creation made in the image of God. There are considerable scriptures that discuss this man in the image point, but words used in Genesis 1 verse 26 reflect that man was created in the image and likeness of God, which included God's sexuality. We are told that the Godhead is made up of three separate distinct persons, God the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. The words Father and Son signify masculinity with the Spirit not being gender-identified. However, God tells us in Genesis 1.27, KJV, so God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him, male and female created he them. This is not to say God is either male or female. What this does tell us is that there is a duality of God. The law of duality is defined that in everything there is an opposite. Good versus evil, love vs. hate, light vs. darkness, healthy vs. unhealthy, prosperity vs. poor, abundant vs. lack, etc. etc. When Adam and Eve ate the fruit from the tree of knowledge and opened their minds to this knowledge of good and evil, they immediately understood that they now live in a world of duality. So God is not only unity, but diversity. This same part of God's image was passed to humanity in the form of man and woman. Separate, they are diversified, but when married, that are unity. 3. Man was created not like the animals. Man was created to be a reflection of God, animals were not. Man's ability to think, speak, reason, and understand right from wrong through discernment, and to make moral decisions must be a part of this distinction. 4. Man was created to have dominion over a portion of God's kingdom. God created the family as the foundation of his rulership in society. The saga of the family is the saga of a nation in a very big way. It can be said that whoever owns the family owns the future. We should understand this and oppose the breakdown of the family with every ounce of strength we have. The breakdown of the family is the biggest social crisis in our communities, our nation, and around the world. It is at the very root of wickedness spreading through the earth. We need to understand the necessity for unity here. God's kingdom structure is built on and flows through individuals, then as husband and wife, and then as family. Without this, nothing else for humanity exists. God created man and woman to rule here on earth, under the same authority with which God rules in the heavens. These rulership terms are described in the covenant God made with Adam. One the physical body itself, and the other is the life animation of our soul. When we look at the components, both separately and then together, we get a complete understanding of man's creation. Man's physical creation from the earth was nothing more than a vessel, a house to contain something much bigger. While God made all the operating components to allow the contents of the vessel to function, it was nothing more than a lifeless molded pile of dirt. Had God not provided the breath of life, the molded creature, left to its own state, would have rotted back to dust. The thing to realize is that all humans made up of DNA and RNA were made as part of the human vessel. The individual distinctions also include fingerprints, number of hairs on our head, the retina of our eyes, footprint, etc. Science has proven that every human being has a completely different cellular makeup that provides physical differences in fingerprints, footprints, and others. We will look at the science of things before we look at the supporting scriptures. However, we want to look at both science and scripture free from any personal bias. So, to do this, we must come into this discussion by removing from our thought processes what has been so ingrained in us through a one-sided education, both through formal education and the church. To set the stage, we will look at one scripture that provides this discussion foundation we will be exploring. Colossians 1 16 KJV. For by him were all things created, that are in heaven and that are in earth, visible and invisible. Whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities or powers, all things were created by him and for him. As you can determine the sequencing of events during creation, by reviewing Genesis 1 26 31 KJV, and God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness, and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him, male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful and multiply, and replenish the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed, to you it shall be for meat, and to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to everything that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat, and it was so. And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good, and the evening and the morning were the sixth day. Skipping into Genesis two we find a continuation of the sequence. Genesis two, fifteen to seventeen, KJV. And the Lord God took the man and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it. And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat, but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it. For in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. God's creation of man was intended to be just how he had wanted, a man and woman being immediately children of God and free from all evil control in their lives. Why is this important? God created man and woman, and through the process of replication, humanity could multiply and produce the same body as created by God. This means that our bodies today, at birth, are just like they were with Adam and Eve. Therefore, when we look at the physical body from a science point of view today, it is exactly the same as when God gave Adam and Eve from the mould of dirt after they had transgressed against God. Thank you for joining us in this exploration of God's creation of man. Until next time, remember to keep the faith, stay strong, and continue to shine your light in the world.
